Macon Police Officer Freddie Pooler says he aimed to be a sniper long before he could likely reach his target, hunting alongside his father at age six.
“We hunted squirrels and rabbits, I started with a 22-long rifle,” said Pooler.
Now, Pooler handles with ease a fully automatic submachine gun. He’s part of the latest set of recruits on the Macon Police SWAT team. The patrol officer joined the 18-man unit in July.
